Anyone who is interested in language, other languages, or logic puzzles may like to have a go at some challenging language problems with the possibility of entering the UK Lingustics Olympiad in February. It’s open to sixth-formers studying any subject, not just English Language or Modern Languages. You don’t even need any language knowledge in the first instance to do the puzzles: they can mainly be worked out by pure logic, but you will learn more about language structure from doing the puzzles.
Come along to S16 on Wednesday lunchtime for 1 o’clock (earlier if you like), or contact Mr Heald if you can’t make it then.
