I had a question about the ‘Hippopotamus & Giraffe’ dictionary entries question. My answer was:

That ‘hippopotamus’ paper is the one I used to introduce the topic: we spent about three or four lessons on it. I showed you how to access the OED using your library card number (http://dictionary.oed.com/cgi/lclogin) and we looked at the structure of OED entries. The ‘AskOxford’ site is well worth while browsing. They have some good information on the development of dictionaries, for example, that would be ideal for a question like that:
